Film Recommendation of the Week: American Psycho (2000)

Mary Harron had her ups and downs trying to direct American Psycho and 20 years on, it’s a cult classic. Set in the 80s this black comedy is a bleak satire about YUPPIE culture and misogyny. It stars Christian Bale as the lustful and materialistic killer, Patrick Bateman, who cares about nothing but women, money, and status. Including other big names such as Reese Witherspoon, Jared Leto, and Willem Dafoe, American Psycho is thrilling and intense. Stay up to date with the print edition of BRATITUDE Magazine (out this month) to see our insight into one of the best lose-sleep-over endings in cinema.
